John literally grew up with a background in retail sales, working at the shop since his fourteenth birthday. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication – Radio/TV emphasis. He tried his hand at a professional career in local radio and television, but decided the pressure and lifestyle was too intense for him. Instead he spent his twenties volunteering at both KUNM-FM and Community Cable Channel 27 Public Access TV in various roles, from news anchor to film critic, video show host and various behind the scenes positions. John has immersed himself in a word of books, movies, and music all his life. When it comes to books, his favorite genre has always been mystery fiction.
