The story of Wally Funk and her quest for space, culminating in her suborbital flight with Jeff Bezos on July 20, 2021. Wally Funk always wanted to fly, ever since she was a little girl growing up in New Mexico. She learned to fly airplanes in college, and then she competed in tests to become an astronaut for the United States. When the government refused to accept women in the program, Wally chased her dream in other ways. First woman National Transportation Safety Board investigator, first woman inspector at the FAA, and flight instructor for decades, Wally kept her eyes on the stars.
